Date format in the Grid output is not displaying correctly according to the sql statement.

Running a script that have Define and date delaration of  "to_date" to a certain format, however Toad Grid is not displaying the date correctly.

When running SQL as a script, the Grid portion does not follow the rules of the Toad options, this only apply to the Data grid when running as SQL Statement.  It will take the sqlplus output (output tab in Toad), and just convert it to a grid.  So, it's reading all the data in the output as a string and placing them into the correct columns of the grid.  If you look at the Output tab, the data should be displaying like that in the output. One suggestion is to try using 'to_char', instead of 'to_date', if you want the proper date format to show.
