After shareplex upgrade post process stops due to error and event log indicates the following:
09/27/07 22:51 Error: 15030 - error getting information on SHAREPLEX_TRANS table,poster exit. [sp_opst (for o.XXX-o.XXX queue XX_QUEUE)/25575]
09/27/07 22:51 Error: Failed to retrieve Shareplex_Trans info: rc = 942, ORA-00942: table or view does not exist. [sp_opst (o.XXX-o.XXX queue XX_QUEUE)/25575]
09/27/07 22:51 Error: 15030 - error getting information on SHAREPLEX_TRANS table,poster exit. [sp_opst (o.XXX-o.XXX queue XX_)/25573]
This can occur at time of upgrade process if SP_OCT_REPLICATE_ALL_DDL parameter is set to 1.
WORKAROUND:
Shutdown shareplex
run ora_setup.
STATUS:
Waiting for fix in a future release of Shareplex.
NOTE: This is documented in PATCH NOTES:
The 5.3.0 SharePlex for Oracle Release Notes did not include the following issue in the Known Issues section:
When running ora_setup with an active configuration DDL performed on the SharePlex internal tables is replicated to the target. To work around this issue set the SP_OCT_REPLICATE_ALL_DDL parameter to “0” prior to running ora_setup. This parameter change takes effect immediately. After ora_setup is complete reset this parameter to it’s previous setting.
The item above was originally reported in the 5.3.2 Patch Notes
