How to tell Automatic Restore Wizard which backup is the one we want it to restore?
Description
We have many daily backups created over the past month. When we have more than one backup for a database in the same directory, the Automatic Restore Wizard doesn't ask us what one we want to restore. How do we tell it to restore the correct backup?
Cause
The Automatic Restore Wizard selects the most recent backup taken depending on what 'Backup type' (eg. "Full") you selected. There's no way to specify exactly which backup you want to restore in a given directory.
We have logged enhancement request LS-1069: "Point in time restores in automated restore: implement in UI".
Resolution
WORKAROUND
Instead of using the 'Automatic Restore Wizard', use the 'Restore Wizard'. Then you can select exactly which backup to restore.
STATUS
This enhancement is waiting for possible implementation in a future release of LiteSpeed.
