How to create a custom report to show the monthly mailbox activity of a specific list of mailboxes

RESOLUTION 1

1. Open the MessageStats reports
2. Click File | New | Custom Report
3. Click Next
4. For the Datasource select Mailboxes - Mailbox Activity Totals
5. Click Next
6. Select the following Fields: Display Name, Messages Received, Messages Sent, Total Messages, Volume Received, Volume Sent
7. Click Next
8. Click the first dropdown box and select Display Name. Enter the name of the first Mailbox
9. Click Add New Filter
10. Click the dropdown box of the new filter and select Date. In the next dropdown box select Last Month (or the date range you want to use)
11. Click Add New Filter
12. Change the second predicate to OR, click the dropdown box of the new filter and select Display Name. Enter the name of the second Mailbox
13. Click Add New Filter
14. Click the dropdown box of the new filter and select Date. In the next dropdown box select the same date range specified previously
15. Continue adding Display Name/Date filter pairs ensuring there is an AND predicate between the Display Name and Date filter and an OR predicate between each Display Name/Date filter pair. Once you have added all the required pairs click Next
16. Select the fields to group the data in the report and click Next
17. Select how you would like the data sorted and click Next
18. Change the formatting options to change the display format as you like and click Next
19. Enter a description for the report and click Next
20. If the report is how you want it to look click Finish or go back and change any settings you want and then click Finish
21. Click File | Save As
22. Select the folder you want to create the report in, enter a name for the report and click OK

1. Open the MessageStats reports
2. Click File | New | Custom Report
3. Click Next
4. For the Datasource select Mailboxes - Mailbox Activity Totals
5. Click Next
6. Select the following Fields: Display Name, Messages Received, Messages Sent, Total Messages, Volume Received, Volume Sent
7. Click Next
8. Click the first dropdown box and select Display Name. Select 'is in' and either type the list of Display names separated by semicolon (;) or click on the ellipsis [...] button and select the Display Names by pressing the Control key for multiple selection

9. Click Add New Filter

10. Click the dropdown box of the new filter and select Date. In the next dropdown box select Last Month (or the date range you want to use)

11. Ensure there is the 'AND' predicate between the Display name filter and the Date filter

12. Click Next

13. Select the fields to group the data in the report and click Next

14. Select how you would like the data sorted and click Next

15. Change the formatting options to change the display format as you like and click Next

16. Enter a description for the report and click Next

17. If the report is how you want it to look click Finish or go back and change any settings you want and then click Finish

18. Click File | Save As

19. Select the folder you want to create the report in, enter a name for the report and click OK
