Description
After installing Toad and trying to connect to the database, the following error is given:

Message : Unable to load
C:\Oracle\product\11.2.0\client_2_x64\bin\oci.dll. Please check that you
use 32x version of Oracle client with 32x application.This is an issue for any database I try to connect to and the databases are accessible outside of Toad.

Cause
Toad Data Point 3.3 and older is not compatible with 64-bit Oracle clients. Toad runs as a 32-bit application, even when installed on a 64-bit O/S.

Resolution
Please install and use a 32-bit Oracle client for connection.
Please make sure to have the correct client selected in the "oracle home" field of the Toad for Data Analysts connection window.
