Getting "necessary Oracle/DB2 files are not installed" message when entering license key
Description

Getting "necessary Oracle files are not installed" message or "necessary DB2 files are not installed" when entering license key.
Cause

Key may have been cut for a newer version of Toad for SQL Server and is not compatible with older version. e.g. Cut for version 5.8 but does not work with version 5.0
Resolution

WORKAROUND 1:

1. In C:\Program Files\Quest Software\Toad for SQL Server x.x find the license.key file.
2. Delete the license.key file.
3. Launch Toad and enter your license key and site message again.

WORKAROUND 2:

Upgrade to latest version of Toad for SQL Server:
