BFILE editor dialog browses folders on local machine, instead of server where database is located
Description
When browsing to select a file in the BFILE editor dialog, it browses the directories on the local machine instead of the server where the database is located.
Resolution
WORKAROUND: Select Database | Create | Library in Toad's menu bar. The “Find” button there has an option to browse for files on the server. It is not suggested that this be used to create a library out of a file, just that this can be used as a way to browse on the server for file names.
STATUS: Waiting for enhancement to be implemented in a future version of Toad for Oracle.
Defect ID
ST114001
Additional Information
This enhancement should be included in the Toad for Oracle 12.5 beta, which can be downloaded here.
