To resolve PF tombstone issues, is it sufficient to delete the target PF store?
Description
To resolve PF tombstone issues, is it sufficient to delete the target PF store? Surely this will remove the tombstoned folders & allow re-migration to proceed?
Resolution
This appears to resolve the issue, but has been found to create a problem in that after the folders are successfully resynchronized they then mysteriously disappear from the target Exchange.
This happened even though there had been no PF replication in target, and appears due to the actions of Exchange\Active Directory rather than Quest agents.
Therefore normal methods of ageing the tombstones in target or copying PFs in source to create new source keys should be used instead of deleting PF stores to resolve tombstone issues.
