For this the first step is to run a Content and Attachment Gathering against all mailboxes on which this report is requested to be run.
(Please note that Quest does not recommend to run Content and Attachment gathering for all mailboxes. These gatherings are used to collect detailed data for a few mailboxes under investigation. These gatherings can consume a large amount of processing capacity and memeory to gather data, and use a large amount of database space to store data. Hence, if you still wanted to run these gatherings against a large number of mailboxes it is highly advisable to do this against batches of mailboxes monitoring at the same time SQL database, MessageStats server(s) and exchange server(s) for any effect on overhead this operation might have).
After the Content and Attachment gathering has been completed a custom report needs to be generated to obtain the results:
1. On the web Reports page select File | New | Custom Report
2. Datasource: Mailbox Content - Item count by folder
3. Fields: one can select: Display Name; Folder; Folder Path; Size (KB) (and/or any other that might be required for the purpose of the report)
4. Filter: Folder = <Name of the folder we want to report on> (exclude the <, > marks)
5. Format: Advanced Summary Calculations. Click the Total box for the Size (in order to obtain the total of all folders across all mailboxes)
