When attempting to open the Forest Recovery console, you receive the error "The directory could not be found".
The console then closes, and must be killed through task manager.
Restarting the server fixes the issue.
WORKAROUND
Option 1:
Log off and log back in to the Recovery Manager server.
This should reset the timer and recreate the folder.
Option 2:
Type in %TEMP% into the address bar in file explorer.
You will get an error, but it will take you to the parent folder.
Recreate the subfolder, which is usually just "1" or "2".
STATUS
Enhancement request number ADO-226657 has been submitted to Development for consideration in a future release of Recovery Manager for Active Directory.
This enhancement will change the temporary folder location for console operations, so this Microsoft change will have no impact.
