Resolution
The “connection time” measures the connection time in milliseconds between the Foglight Agent Manager (FglAM) machine to the monitored host. This is the metric #connection# that get stored in Foglight.
The rule now takes the average of the connection time for the last five minutes and compares it with the registry variables "DBSS-OperationalConnectionTime_Medium" and "DBSS-OperationalConnectionTime_Low". The default values of the registry variables are:
DBSS-OperationalConnectionTime_Medium = 40DBSS-OperationalConnectionTime_Low = 20
If the average of your connection time is higher than those registry variables an alarm will be raised. The average of the collected connection time can be found here:"Configuration | Data | Databases | SQL Server | Instances | <your Instance> | Monitoring Agent | Usability | Connection"Click on "Connection" and right hand side you will see the historical data and the average column. This will give an idea about the average of the collected connection time.Please use that to adjust the thresholds according to your needs.
