In automation, get a message saying script does not pass validation, but there are no indicators that a job needs to be fixed.
Description

Trying to publish an automation script. The script ran fine, but when it is published there is a message saying, "Script didn't pass validation. Please fix validation error before publishing the script". However, there are no red exclamation points on any of the jobs in the script.
Cause

There is a defect with automation where if a variable is used in a linked script and is not set in a previous task, it will not notify users that that the variable needs to set. The notification will only occur if the script is not linked.
Resolution

WORKAROUND:
For each task that has a link script, uncheck the option to link the SQL and see if a notification appears saying that a variable's value needs to be set in a task above. Once the variable is set, the script can then be linked again.
STATUS:
This issue is fixed in Toad Data Point 4.3. This version can be downloaded from the downloads section of our website, which you can access by clicking here.
