Description
Backups fail when "Optimize the object level recovery speed of the backup" option is checked. The error reported is:
"Unable to access Temp directory (C:\Users\SQL_CL~1\AppData\Local\Temp\) for OLR Map generation."The Windows user account running the SQL Server instance has both read and write permissions to the C:\Users\SQL_Cluster\AppData\Local\Temp folder.

Resolution
Explicitly set the TempPath parameter in the [LiteSpeed] section of the LiteSpeedSettings.ini file to specify another location. For example:
Open up the file LiteSpeedSettings.ini. It is located here by default: C:\ProgramData\Quest Software\LiteSpeed\SQL Server\LiteSpeedSettings.ini
And in that file, there's different sections. the one we are interested in is:[litespeed]Under that section, there will already be:installpath=<<your_install_path>>logpath=<<your_specified_log_file_path>>Add a new entry, TempPath. That will also you to explicitly specify the location of what is used a a temporary directory. The value for TempPath cannot include the "~" symbol. Also make sure the Windows user account running the SQL Server instance have both read and write permissions to the the value you set for TempPath.TempPath = C:\<<some_directory_you_specify>>And then save that change and run the backup again with the "Optimize the object level recovery speed of the backup" option checked.
