Description
Database Probe hangs when using a 19c Oracle client, connecting to an 11gR2 database.
The screen shows "Querying SGA Info..." with a green dotted line. You can use Toad or close the window down without having to shut Toad down, but nothing seems to be active on the screen and the menu icons are greyed out.

Cause
Background query is hanging when using the 19c client -
Resolution
WORKAROUND:
- Open Toad Options and on the left side, go to Oracle | Optimizer Hints
- On the right, click Add.
- Enter SYS_OBJECTS for view name (It's not in the list but you can just type it in).
- Choose 11gR2 for the Oracle version, and '/*+ RULE */' for the hint.STATUS:
