After upgrading from Toad 9.7.x to 9.7.2, a usermay haveto re-entertheir authorization (license) key and alltheir settings (Toad options, connections, passwords, etc...) are gone.
During the upgrade from Toad 9.7.x to 9.7.2, the UninstallClientFiles.exe is automatically executed during the upgrade.
WORKAROUND:
To restore settings after upgrading
NOTE: Close all Toad for Oracle versions.
1.Open the C:\Documents and Settings\<user name>\Application Data\Quest Software\Toad for Oracle folder.
2.Rename the 9.7 folder to 9.7.old.
3.Rename the 9.7_uninstalled folder to 9.7.
4.Launch Toad for Oracle 9.7.2. Your settings should be restored.
STATUS:
Waiting for fix in a future release of Toad for Oracle.
