Can DCs be skipped when selecting the Force Replication option -
Description
When running the Online Restore Wizard, is it possible to configure DCs to be skipped, or a timeout, for the Force Replication step? -
Resolution
RMAD uses the Microsoft function DsReplicaSyncAll (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms676033(VS.85).aspx) to force replication. There is no option to configure a timeout or a list of DCs to use for the replication.
Please note, it is not required to force replication during the restore operation. You can allow normal replication to occur, or use the native tools to force replication after the Online Restore Wizard completes.
If you do not force replication during from the Online Restore wizard and you have an issue with missing linked attributes after the restore, ensure replication has completed and then restore the object again.
