Description

I am trying to Optimize a query with bind variables. But when I try to set the variables the object datatype that needs to be set for them are not available in the Optimizer's drop down list. How do I set the correct bind variable to execute the query and the alternate scenarios for further optimization?
Cause

Object datatypes are currently not supported by Quest SQL Optimizer.
Resolution

WORKAROUND:
This limitation should not affect general optimization to general alternative SQL scenarios, but a user will not be able to execute the querys for run time stats and further testing. Further testing will need to be done manually by the user.

STATUS:
Enhancement request ST51869 has been submitted to development for consideration in a future release of Quest SQL Optimizer for Oracle.
