Desktop Authority versions prior to 10, should use Internet Explorer Version 11 only.
Component: Internet Explorer
Description: Because EA (Expert Assist) uses the self-issued and self-signed certificate to protect SSL channel, Internet Explorer warns that this type of certificate is not issued by a trusted certificate authority.
Workaround: Add the EA certificate to the Trusted Root Certification Authorities.
Component: Java
Description:
The Expert Assist certificate is not issued by a trusted certificate authority and Java runtime cannot check if the certificate was revoked (In order to enhance security, the certificate revocation checking feature has been enabled by default starting in Java 7 Update 25. Before Java would attempt to launch a signed application, the associated certificate would be validated to ensure that it has not been revoked by the issuing authority. This feature has been implemented using both Certificate Revocation Lists (CRLs) and Online Certificate Status Protocol (OCSP) mechanisms.) Click the “More Information” link to view alert details.
• Go to Control Panel | Java Control Panel
• Select the “Advanced” tab
• Under the section “Perform of TLS certificate revocation list checks on” select the option “Do not check (not recommended)”.
Component: Java
Description:
This Java runtime warns about the potential dangers before a Java applet will be started. Each Java applet has unrestricted access to your personal files and other resources on your computer. But the Expert Assist applet has a valid digital signature from a trusted certificate authority, which is safe to run.
Workaround: Check the box on the popup that states “Do not show this again for apps from the publisher and location above”.
Component: Java
Description:
This Java runtime alert warns about potential dangers in Web UI. Expert Assist uses JavaScript and Java applets technology, this is by design. Java runtime treats this combination as potentially dangerous and warns users about this.
Workaround: Check the box on the popup that states “Do not show this again for this app and web site” for Desktop Authority versions 10 and later.
Component: Microsoft Edge

Workaround: Install the Expert Assist Java Launcher
Component: Microsoft Edge
Description: Warning about the custom protocol call. Microsoft Edge will show this popup every time a Java-related node is clicked on, within Expert Assist.
Workaround: This behavior is by design.
