Description
When trying to compile certain invalid object and the following error occurs:
Invalid object type for TPLSQLCacheItems.Add. Expected valid PL/SQL object type received
This also happens when trying to create certain packages or procedures.

Cause
A special character is included in the PL/SQL code such as "up and down" arrows or a white square.

Resolution
WORKAROUND:
Remove the special character in the PL/SQL code and recompile.
STATUS:
A fix has been in place in Toad for Oracle 11.1. To download the latest version of Toad for Oracle, click here.
