Exporting or querying database groups from the Global View dashboard (4227678)

Can the Database Groups from Global View databases dashboard be exported from the Foglight UI or queried from the FMS repository.

WORKAROUND

Database Groups are services that cannot be exported from the UI and not easily queried from the FMS repository. It may be possible with the assistance of Quest Professional Services (PSO) to use a groovy script as a customization to obtain this information. This groovy script could then be run from a command line.

As well, KB 111911 provides details on how to export and import groups using the serviceexport and serviceimport commands via fglcmd into an xml file.

STATUS

Enhancement Request (ER) FOGGENERAL-I-138 has been logged to provide easier access to export and query the Database Groups from the FMS. This ER may be considered in a future release of the Foglight Management Server.
