Title
Error, "Access Violations in module 'TOAD.exe'." when launching Toad with auto-connect turned on -
Description
The following error occurs immediately launching Toad for Oracle after upgrade:
Error, Access violation at address 0052476F in module 'TOAD.exe'. Read of address 00000211.
NOTE: Previous version of Toad had 3 databases with the Auto-connect feature turned on. -
Cause
Toad.ini was corrupted.

Resolution
Reset Toad.ini for Toad for Oracle 9.6.1 or Below:
1. Close Toad.
2. Browse to default folder: C:\Program Files\Quest Software\Toad for Oracle\User Files\
3. Locate your Toad.ini file and rename it to Toad.ini.OLD.
4. Re-launch Toad and log on.
5. Check to see if the issue has been resolved.
For Toad for Oracle 9.7 or Higher:
1. Close Toad.
2. Browse to default folder: C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Application Data\Quest Software\Toad for Oracle\9.7\User Files\
3. Locate your Toad.ini file and rename it to Toad.ini.OLD.
4. Re-launch Toad and log on.
5. Check to see if the issue has been resolved.
