Is there a way for Toad Data Point (TDP) to support multiple Windows authentication users? As a User logged in as User1, is it possible to enter a different domain user for Windows Authentication? The Windows user is grayed out pre-filled with the current logon.
For example, being logged into the Windows Workstation as DOMAIN\User1, the database for Windows authentication is grayed out with DOMAIN\User1 and it cannot be changed. It would be nice if it were to accept other Domain users such as DOMAIN\User2 in the field.
By default, there is no way to run as a different user in Windows as it's a Windows limitation. The official way to log in as a different user is to log out of your user and re-login as the intended user. (This is the official way we support this feature.)
However, if your organization allows it, we can add to the registry a component to allow the option to "Run as a Different user" in the Start Menu. (NOTE: This workaround does not work for icons on the Desktop. We don't officially support this method.)
