Cannot establish connections to Sybase instances with "roman8" charset (4226915)

The third party jconn4.7-0.jar file used by the Sybase agent does not support the roman8 character set.

WORKAROUND

Set the Charset value in the Sybase agent's agent status properties (ASP) to "iso_1".

1. Navigate to Administration | Agents | Agent Properties
2. Select the Sybase agent
3. Edit the properties for the Sybase agent
4. Click the link to modify the private properties for the agent
5. In the Connection Details area, set the charset to iso_1 (as shown below)
6. Click the Save button to save the changes
7. Return to the Agent Status page
8. Deactivate the Sybase agent
9. Activate the Sybase agent

This agent property is missing from the Sybase_RS Agents up to SAP ASE (DB_Sybase) cartridge versions 6.1.0.11 and 6.3.0.10. This was identified as FOG-6325, please contact Support for a hotfix for this issue.

STATUS
This issue was logged as FOG-6325 and has been fixed in the 7.1.0.10 and higher releases of the Foglight for SAP ASE cartridge.
