Resolution
The radio button choices correspond to the following Java Memory Heap sizes
- Allow Foglight to manage it's memory consumption: this is a dynamic sizing determined at the FMS launch using the following defaults
min heap max heap 32-bit -Xms{same as Xmx}m-Xmx{75% of total memory < 1024}m64-bit -Xms{same as Xmx}m-Xmx{75% of total memory < 4096}m- Small environment (1-100 monitored instances): 4096mb
- Medium environment (100-200 monitored instances): 6144mb
- Large environment (200-800 monitored instances): 14336mb
STATUS
Enhancement Request FGLCM-83 has been logged to remove the option to allow Foglight to manage its memory consumption. This is being considered for a future release of the Foglight for Databases installer.
