ORA-12505 error when validating Oracle Data Guard instance -
Description
When setting Oracle DataGuard the primary database can be added but when validating instances the following error appears:
ORA-12505, TNS:listener does not currently know of SID given in connect descriptor

Resolution
WORKAROUND
Please replace the function content with the attached new script.
- Edit the createOracleCallbackInstance function under Configuration | Definitions | Databases | Oracle | Data Guard | Installer
- Replace the script content with createOracleCallbackInstance.groovy file (attached)
- Save the changes
Attempt to add the Data Guard again using the Oracle installer wizard
Note : the installer will only be able to validate the connection using the service name
RESOLUTION
Enhancement ID FGDBORA-I-40 has been logged to include a failover to change to connection string of the client to SID if SERVICE_NAME does not work.
