Explain Plan | Copy to Clipboard option does not copy data in a spreadsheet format. (4225766)

Explain Plan | Copy to Clipboard option of version 8.6.1 copies  Explain Plan data in a spreadsheet format. Therefore, data can be pasted in Excel. This option in versions 9.0 and above does not copy  data in the same manner. It essentially copies the data as it looks on the screen, and therefore, cannot be copied into an Excel spreadsheet for reporting purposes.

WORKAROUND:  
Select Explain Plan | Copy to XML option to save to an XML file first and then open the XML file in Excel. This format will vary from the original option.

Enhancement request ER33030 has been submitted to Development for consideration in a future release of Toad for Oracle.
