Adjusting settings in the formatter has been attempted but the changes don't seem to affect the formatting. The column names and table names in the nested SELECT's are not stacking properly. GROUP BY is also not stacking correctly.
Note that this doesn't occur in all cases. Other similar views are formatting correctly.
Corrupted fmtplus.opt file.
Back up and reset setting to default.
1. In Formatter window, select "Reset Pane to Recommended Defaults" then save.
or if the changes can't be saved...
2. Exit out of Toad, find the fmtplus.opt file and remove the file.
This will force Toad to use default setting for formatter. The file is located in the User Files folder for your version of Toad.
C:\Documents and Settings\<personal folder>\Application Data\Quest Software\Toad for Oracle\<version>\User Files
You can now go back into the Format window and configure to your preferences if necessary.
In new installs of Toad with formatter default settings, the fmtplus.opt file may not be formally created if the settings have not been initially saved. Go to Formatter and click save for the setting and the file should be created.
