Configuring proxy applications to use different hosts. (4225378)

The network requires separate proxy server addresses/ports for different applications (e.g. http, https, ftp, etc.),.

However, the Internet Explorer element only includes one field for the address and one field for the port.

While the Internet Explorer element does not have separate fields for each proxy application's address and port, they can be combined into a single string and placed into the Address field. In this example, to set http, https, and ftp to use different hosts. The example sample data:

http IP 10.0.0.5 PORT 80

https IP 10.0.0.7 PORT 443

ftp IP 10.0.0.9 PORT 21

*In the Proxy Server Address field, enter the following:

http=10.0.0.5:80;https=10.0.0.6:443;ftp=10.0.0.7:21;gopher=10.0.0.8:70;socks=10.0.0.9:80

*Note:  Leave the Proxy Server Port field blank.
