HOW TO:
Deploy Microsoft Office 2010 using Desktop Authority with an MSP file and no user interaction.
Create a network share and copy all the contents of Office 2010 to the network share.
Then create the MSP file:
Start the Office Customization Tool (OCT) by running the Setup with the /admin command line option for Office 2010.
When you get to the Office Customization tool main menu, select “Create a new Setup customization file for the following product“
Then follow the menu and insert all your custom settings. All settings will be stored to the MSP file. When you are done with all your settings, select “File” and “Save” and select the location where you will save the MSP FILE.
Save the Setup customization file (MSP) generated by the OCT in the updates folder at the root of your network share for Office 2010.
Then in Desktop Authority use application launcher to launch the setup.exe.
Within the "Filespec" field type in: \\Servername\Sharename\Setup.exe
*This will launch the setup for Office 2010, if you have placed the MSP file in the updates folder it will install silently and without user interaction depending on the setting you saved to the MSP file.
*This information can be used for Office 2007 also.
