How to determine which instances may be 'seen' by the server.
Description

In 'Extended Stored Procedure Installation' or 'Instance Configuration', the instance does not display.
Cause

A 32-bit version of LiteSpeed has been installed on a 64-bit MSSQL server or onto a 64-bit operating system.
Resolution

1. Select Start | Run | type cmd.

2. At the Command Prompt enter: OSQL -L

All instances that may be seen by server will be displayed.

3. Verify that the application of LiteSpeed is approrpriate for the version of the Server's/Client's operating system.
