Unable to compile trigger in Editor to make changes, Toad shows popup window for Bind Variables.
Description

Upgraded to version 3.4 and attempting to execute Trigger DDL code script in Editor. Toad does not execute this code and displays a popup window to enter Bind Variables for every instance of ":" character such as :old and :new values.
Resolution

Due to changes made in regards to how Toad handles Bind Variables in version 3.4, a new icon (called “Enables/Disables binding variables from the SQL query") in the Editor window was introduced to disable Bind Variables selection. This icon will enable or disable bind variable detection by characters such as colon. Click on "(x)=" icon on the Editor toolbar to disable the popup window.
