Description
How to monitor databases that are in unusual database statuses, including Suspect, Offline, Recovering, Loading, Restoring, Emergency Mode, and other modes?

Cause
SQL Server database is not available for reading under these modes. Users attempting to access an unavailable database will receive an error message. -
Resolution
In Configure | Alarms configuration window locate Databases - Unavailable alarm. Ensure this alarm is enabled.
Currently if a database is in "Restoring" state it does not trigger the "Database -Unavailable Alarm" in Spotlight on SQL Server Enterprise.
STATUS:
Defect SEMB-505 has been submitted to Development for consideration in a future release of Spotlight on SQL Server Enterprise.
Waiting for fix to be released in a future version of Spotlight on SQL Server Enterprise.
