Active Directory Application Mode (ADAM) will not initilize.
1. Close Recovery Manager for Exchange
2. Using 'Programs and Features' or 'Add or Remove Programs' in the Control Panel perform a 'Change' on Quest Recovery Manager for Exchange.
3. Change the option for 'AD LDS (ADAM)' to 'Entire feature will be unavailable' and complete the change.
4. Perform another 'Change' and set 'AD LDS (ADAM)' to 'Will be installed on local hard drive'.
5. Restart Recovery Manager for Exchange and start emulation.
If the above steps do not resolve your issue. Make sure that the account you are using to start emulation and logged on account is a member of the Local Administrators group on the Recovery Manager server and make sure it is also a sysadmin on the SQL server that hosts the Recovery Manager for Exchange Databases.
