Description
After upgrade to version 12.0, user receiving continuous alert errors on several connections:
"Monitored Server - SQL Server Secondary Connection Failure: Connection 'SQLServerXEventsChannel' failed to connect: The event data stream was disconnected because there were too many outstanding events. To avoid this error either remove events or actions from your session or add a more restrictive predicate filter to your session."
OR
"Monitored Server - SQL Server Connection Failure: Connection 'SQLServerXEventsChannel' failed to connect: The event data stream was disconnected because there were too many outstanding events. Cause
Changed in Extended Events usage in Spotlight fails with heavy data load. -
Resolution
Issue fixed in the current release of Spotlight on SQL Server Enterprise. Latest version of Spotlight can be downloaded from here. -
