This step-by-step article describes how to turn on or turn off Extended Logging in Recovery Manager for Exchange. System Administrators and Quest Support can use the Extended Logging feature of Recovery Manager for Exchange to help troubleshoot issues.
When Extended Logging is turned on, Recovery Manager for Exchange writes additional data to its log files, which have a .log file name extension. By default, the log files are located in "C:\ProgramData\Quest\Recovery Manager for Exchange\Log Files\"

Enabling Extended Logging may increase the log files significantly. This option should only be used for diagnostic purposes and should be disabled when not required.
