In order to use Notes Migrator for Exchange for my migration, is it mandatory that I have Microsoft Exchange Connector for Lotus Notes set up and configured?
The Microsoft Exchange Connector for Lotus Notes is not a prerequisite for using Notes Migrator for Exchange. Although our migration software was designed to work along with the connector, it is not required for a successful migration. The decision to use the connector will greatly depend on your environment and what you want to achieve. For example, you would typically want to implement the connector in an environment where you require coexistence and synchronization between the two messaging systems for a period of time. This will allow you to maintain transparency and obtain free busy and calendar lookups for your users during the transition.
Notes Migrator for Exchange can be used for successful migrations with or without the Notes Connector.
