The NMS upgrade failed when downloaded the executable from support link
The following message appears:
Windows installer :“another version of this product is already installed. Installation of this version cannot continue.”
What needs to be done to perform an upgrade without losing the configuration from the older installation?
The link on support link is the complete installation - patches are not available via support link at this stage as the product get updated automatically
NMS is using the automatic updates system (Administration=> Check for updates) and not support link install executable as it’s not a patch.
There are 2 methods to update the server. online and offline - none of them is using support link executable files.
Once the server is updated, all agents will update upon their next check in with the server, the studio console will update upon the next connection to the server.
The message from Windows installer appears when trying toinstall a new installation over an existing one.
