Error during Toad for Data Analysts installation: "An error occurred while creating the instance (4289253)

When I try to install Toad for Data Analysts (TDA), I get the error below. I don't have any DB2 clients installed.

An error occurred while creating the instance "TACOM11". The return code is "1950". Create the instance manually using the command "db2icrt".

An error occurred while creating the instance "TACOM21". The return code is "4294965378". Create the instance manually using the command "db2icrt".

RESOLUTION 1:

To install Toad, full admin privileges are required. Make sure permissions are available for read and write to the Toad and DB2 folders and registries. 

Uninstalling and cleaning up an previous installs of Toad may be advisable. 

RESOLUTION 2:

Download the MSI version of the installer from the support page. 

RESOLUTION 3:

1. Uninstall any previous install of Toad Data Point and/or Toad for DB2
2. Run db2unins.bat to clean up the registry
