A Legacy Restore from a vRanger 3.x backup archive will not restore in vRanger 4.x or vRanger Backup & Replication 5.x.
When setting up the Legacy Restore job in vRanger 4.x or 5.x, with a remote UNC path to the vRanger 3.x archive/.info file, credentials are not able to be entered to access the archive. The "Check Credentials" message appears with a red exclamation point next to it, even if the credentials are valid.
Legacy archives from vRanger 3.x that are being restored in 4.x or 5.x should be copied locally to the vRanger machine's local storage in order to run.
Move the archive and corresponding .info file to the local storage of the vRanger machine, and setup the Legacy Restore again.
Since the archive is now local to the vRanger machine, the credentials being used should MATCH that of the currently-logged-in user to avoid a Windows credential conflict.
Once this is successfully credentialed, the Legacy Restore should proceed normally.
