Symptoms:
The NetVault Service won't start

Check the /etc/nsswitch.conf file and verify that the services and protocols entries do not have ldap listed. They should be set as follows.

protocols: files
services: files

Making this INTERNAL as we are unsure if this is a true solution for a site using LDAP, this site may have had an incorrectly LDAP configuration.
