Error: "failed to get methods for machine", "NetVault Server Machine name" (4046928)

When trying to browse the FileSystem in a backup window, you see, DEPRECATED - DO NOT USE, instead of the Machine name.
The same happens when trying to add a device in a Device Management Window.

If you try to double click on the, DEPRECATED - DO NOT USE, Icon, then you get the error "failed to get methods for machine", "NetVault Server Machine name";, or "Invalid Arguments", depending on the NetVault Version.

This happens because the file clientlist.txt in the %NVHOME%\config folder is either empty, corrupted or has only one entry. DEPRECATED - DO NOT USE
 

1) Stop the NetVault services on the Server.
2) Edit the file and place the NetVault Server machine name. (You can get the NetVault Machine from the Machine Tab of the NetVault Configurator).
3) Start the NetVault services.
4) You will need to re-add all client machines

Alternatively you can restore the configuration part from a recent Netvault database backup.
