Description:
This is an internal only workaround for existing Windows 2000 customers.
After successfully installing the agent software, the server is rebooted, but the NetVault: FASTRecover (NVFR) service does not start.
Symptoms:
A popup window appears shortly after reboot saying:
“At least on service or driver failed during system startup�
When attempting to start the NVFR service via the Windows Services tool, an error appears saying:
“Could not start the NetVault: FASTRecover Agent service on Local Computer
Error 1053: The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion.�
The NVFR log [nvfr_home]\log\hdrv.txt says:
