Description: Backups failing with error messages: "invalid backup options - failed to create selection tree"
Symptoms:
This happens sometimes after an upgrade. If you open the backup job in the Edit/View job screen, click on the backup options tab, it will most likely be blank or all grayed out.
-Click on the selections tab and click the 'Modify' check box in the lower right corner.
-Select 'Modify' again in the next pop-up warning message.
-Re-select the client and drill down back to the same selections that were there before.
-Go to the Backup options tab again and the selections should be available now.
-Go back to the Selections tab. Re-save the Backup Selection set at the bottom with the 'Save As' button.
-Re-submit the job, and it should run.
