During investigations of backup issues we often ask users to use the nvpview "log objects" process repetitively, which is labour intensive.
This can be done via a command line, which means this operation can be scheduled via a script or batch file:
1) open a command prompt
2) navigate to ~netvault/util
3) create a directory to hold the recorded memory usage output
4) run the command:
nvmemusage >>[path to log directory]/nvmem.log
(please note use of double ">>" to concatenate to the end of the log file.
The command:
nvmemusage >> nvmem.log
can be used in a script file and scheduled via an OS scheduler.
