Symptoms:
When attempting to run a backup using the hot DR plugin you receive the following error messages within the netvault binary log.

Error 2003/09/22 09:05:23 184 Data Plugin BKB1 Failed to create handle to set IO parameter for OFM. The system cannot find the file specified.
Warning 2003/09/22 09:05:23 184 Data Plugin BKB1 Failed to set OFM's I/O parameters WIP and SyncTimeout
and the failure to set the IO parameters is causing the rest of the job to fail :

1. Uninstall your current hot VaultDR plugin from the affected machine
2. Search your OS drive for the OFM driver ofmlvdrv.sys & delete all
instances of it. Also check the system32\drivers directory for occurences of this file.
3. Reboot the machine

Then install the new plugin in the usual manner. Further documentation can be found on the following link:

5. OFM driver is now installed by the NPK, no need to run
setuplv.exe manually
To activate the EOFM driver it is still necessary to reboot the machine.
6. After the reboot check the system32\drivers directory for the
ofmlvdrv.sys file, as this is the new location for the ofm driver.
