The backup fails with a warning message similar to the one below:
Information 2012/02/10 22:30:02 107 Data Plugin ServerName Cannot find drive 'XXXXXXXX' in device tree.
When the backup job was created, the target device name where the data is to be backed up is no longer available. This can occur when a device was removed from Device Management, then re-added with a slightly different name. Example: Original device name "TandbergLibrary", new name "Tandberg Library" (with a space).
Modify the job and re-select the new Target for the backup using the steps below:
1.) From Job Management, right-click on the failing backup job and select "Edit/View Job".
2.) Check one of the "Modify" boxes on any of the job's tabs.
3.) Navigate to the Target tab of the job and deselect the invalid, old device name, then select the valid, new device name.
4.) Save and submit the new schedule of the modified job.
