Description: The Netvault service on a Windows client stops for no apparent reason. When you try to start the service again the message "The service terminated unexpectedly" is returned. There are no clues in the log as to why the service stopped and cannot be restarted. The same configuration has possibly been used for months with no issues.
Symptoms: These symptoms point towards a failure to allocate shared memory but this is only apparent once LIBVERBOSE trace has been gathered on the "Process Manager" process.
Lines similar to the following will be seen in the trace:
