Symptoms:
Unable to read or write to media. Check Hardware: If using a Dell PowerVault 110T LTO-2-L (Certance), check the tape drives amber LED. If LED is illuminated the media cannot be written or read.
Dell branded LTO2 media with a specific serial number may cause symptoms such as failure to load or eject media as well as the illumination of the fault LED.
When the affected media is inserted into a Dell PowerVault 110T LTO-2-L (Certance) drive the amber Error LED will illuminate and the media cannot be written or read. The media can be ejected by pressing the eject button. Version v1914 firmware will properly address the media issue�. See Dell's web site for more information.
