Unable to browse the virtual client in the backup window
Symptoms: Remote Machine Unknown/Cannot determine Current Real Client from a Cluster
This error is given when the NetVault server can not communicate with the cluster's virtual IP address. Be sure that you have entered the correct IP address for the cluster, and that you can ping this address from the NetVault server.
You should make sure the following:
1 - Make sure that DNS is working correctly. Use nslookup to check this. You should launch the commands from all the nodes as well as the backup server. Forward and backward resolutions (IP & hostname) of virtual client, sql nodes should work from the nodes and the backup server.
2- Try using the hostname instead of the IP.
3- In one case we have seen firewall rules causing the symptom so go over the rules or try temporarily disabling the firewall.
