Description: Customer needs assistance on how to reuse WORM media.
Certain tape drives can be configured as WORM (Write Once Read Many) drives, and media written with this configuration will subsequently become WORM media - read only.

Media in the WORM state can not be reused by NetVault as it can not be "Blanked" or "Marked for reuse". In order to reuse WORM media in NetVault, the WORM property needs to be removed from the tape outside of the NetVault software. Using Linux command to overwrite and/or degaussing the tape are some of the methods that can be used to force blank a piece of WORM media.
